"Fruits & Vegetables"

     Fruits and vegetables are what we call nutrient dense foods.  Nutrient dense means they contain maximum nutrition with minimal calories.  Many of these vegetables contain cancer fighting antioxidants, while fruits contain numerous nutrients as well as an immediate source of energy. 

     Fruits and vegetables are filling, but have few calories and no fat.  So toss the bagel and other high glycemic treats.  As an alternative snack on apples, bananas and peaches or greens such as broccoli, spinach, tomatoes and asparagus.

Fat Burning Tip

     As your day progresses, do away with complex carbohydrates such as rice and potatoes and boost your intake of water packed vegetables.   This will speed up your metabolism and help to burn fat.
